When will my bottle return?

You choose the feeling of the wait when you cast it away, not an exact date. Bottlethought will notify you locally when the tide brings it back.

Why can’t I open a bottle yet?

A drifting bottle stays sealed until its return. That little bit of waiting is part of the ritual.

Where are my thoughts stored?

Your messages, photographs, and reflections are stored locally on your iPhone. Bottlethought has no account or online service.

How do I delete my data?

Delete an individual bottle in the app to permanently remove everything it contains. Deleting the app removes all remaining local Bottlethought data.

Notifications aren’t appearing

Open iPhone Settings, find Bottlethought, and make sure notifications are allowed. Return notifications are scheduled and delivered locally by iOS.
